Folding Chair Productions

Folding Chair Productions is a multimedia company helmed by Janine Sherman Barrois that produces elevated content by creative disruptors who are seeking a place at the table.  With an eye toward bold, character-driven material, our mission is to develop work that pushes the envelope and unpacks the complexities of the human spirit while shining a light on Black, female, and other diverse artists.  

Under a multi-year deal at Warner Bros. Television, Folding Chair Productions focuses on streaming and network television, along with feature films.  Known for Claws, The Kings of Napa, Self Made: Inspired by The Life of Madam CJ Walker, Criminal Minds and ER, Sherman Barrios leads Folding Chair Productions to make noisy and provocative shows spanning all genres. Nikita Adams, formerly an agent at Paradigm and most recently A3, serves as Head of Television.
